The Matias Romero is a very special one! This classic cubensis strain has a fascinating history in home cultivation. It is named after the Mexican village ‘Matias Romero’, where it was collected for the first time by famous American doctor and mycologist Stephen Pollock, also known as Professor Fanaticus, the creator of the PF Tek. He most likely created the Matias Romero spores from the classic mushroom strain ‘PF Classic’. The Matias Romero certainly shows characteristics of the PF Classic. In comparison to other psilocybe cubensis strains, it almost automatically starts to fruit. Although it is not a very big mushroom, they can become really plump.
